Kaestle Boos was commissioned to assist the Town of Bourne with the development of preliminary plans for a new police station to replace the existing antiquated facility. Kaestle Boos worked with the Department to identify their needs and develop a space program. In addition, three potential sites, narrowed down from a list of 17, were evaluated to determine the feasibility of supporting this specialized type of facility. Sites were evaluated for size, accessibility, access to utilities, location, and topography. The new facility will include a training room/Emergency Operations Center, dispatch center, secure prisoner processing and detention area, 3-car, drive-thru sally port, secure evidence processing and storage area, roll call room, fitness area, offices, and a firing range.

I would like to offer our sincerest thanks and appreciation for your outstanding work on delivering to the Town a best in class police facility that will serve the community well for many years to come. A project of this size and complexity takes the time, energy and talents of every member of the committee, our project management and architect team and the lead contractor to ensure its completion meets the stringent requirements set forth in many project documents.
