The new facility is located on the site of a former school facility. Features of the new facility include a drive-through sally port, secure parking for police vehicles and equipment, separate from both public and staff parking, 2 maintenance bays, fitness center, firing range, and large community/training room. The design of the facility is responsive to the neighborhood, encompassing elements of the surrounding architecture, including a historical home at the entrance and residential neighbors. Community access to an adjacent park was also maintained without compromising security.
