KBA conducted a study to identify the future space needs of both the Windsor, CT Police and Fire departments. It was determined that the existing public safety facility did not meet the needs of the Windsor Police or Fire Department. KBA subsequently developed designs to adapt and renovate the existing public safety facility to accommodate both the Fire Department and EMS. Another town building was renovated for the Police Department.
The renovated fire station/EMS facility includes the addition of three new appropriately sized apparatus bays, separate operational support areas, and living and sleeping quarters. KBA teamed with Mitchell Associates on this project.
