KBA provided the Guilford Public Schools with assessment, design, and construction contract administration services for the replacement of the synthetic turf field as well as reconstruction of the track.
The multi-purpose field is permanently lined for football, soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey. The track and field events were removed and reconstructed to address the improper cross-slope and layout that did not conform to NFHS standards. The newly constructed track base was surfaced with a urethane Impermeable sandwich system focused on performance and limited maintenance for the school.
The spectator experience and viewing was improved though the creation of tiered retaining walls and landscape synthetic turf. Areas for gathering and viewing events were created, expanding the capacity of the facility.
