The combined middle/high school facility was renovated in order to house 1,889 students in grades 5-12 to alleviate overcrowding at the primary grade levels. Additions include a new fifth grade academic wing, middle school auxiliary gymnasium, science and academic wing for the high school, shared central boiler plant, shared kitchen, shared auditorium and new high school music wing. The existing auditorium and kitchen areas were re-captured to create additional academic areas for each facility. The facility was renovated-as-new with all systems achieving a minimum of 20 year life expectancy. Code compliance updates including American with Disabilities Act (ADA) were also completed. Handicap parking spaces were reconfigured, accessible routes to the building, and new accessible walkways to various activity areas were also designed.
