The field is permanently marked for soccer, full-sized baseball, and softball events, with inlaid layout markers for temporary field hockey and lacrosse events. Additional amenities include combination goals, fairway netting to restrict over-played balls, backstops, team dugout areas with benches, portable pitching mound, and equal access walking surfaces to all areas of the field.
At Watertown High School, renovations of the Mills Field Athletic Complex were completed in 2009. The project included the design and installation of a new multi-purpose synthetic turf field which will be used for football, soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey. Additional renovations to the existing track and the grandstands including handicapped accessibility improvements were also completed.
