Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. completed a feasibility study for the Watertown Fire Department. The existing facilities were evaluated for code compliance and life safety issues. A space needs assessment was conducted with the department staff to determine potential expansion of the current facilities. As a result, a major addition and renovations to the existing facility were completed. The facility is built into a hill allowing five apparatus bays to be on the main level and a maintenance garage located on the lower level. Additional features include a training/hose tower, large training room, a common room, fitness area, industrial kitchen, conference room and storage.
