Dartmouth Fire Station

The Dartmouth Fire District 2 hired Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. to conduct a facility evaluation of the existing fire station and develop additions and renovations to meet the space program needs.  Working with Mitchell Associates Architects, the firematic programming included five apparatus bays, large enough to fit any apparatus equipment, a day room, bunk areas, storage spaces, a kitchen, large training and conference rooms and administration area.  The renovations would include upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, building infrastructure, and code compliance improvements.  The addition will include two new apparatus bays and a training tower.
