Regional School District #10’s combined middle and high school facility is being renovated in order to house 1,889 students grades 5-12 with the addition of the fifth grade to the Har-Bur Facility to alleviate overcrowding at the primary grade levels. Additions will include a new fifth grade academic wing, middle school auxiliary gymnasium, science and academic wing for the high school, shared central boiler plant, shared kitchen, shared auditorium and new high school music wing. The existing auditorium and kitchen areas will be re-captured to create additional academic areas for each facility. The facility is being renovated-as-new with all systems achieving a minimum of 20 year life expectancy.
