Developed on behalf of the Capitol Region Education Council, the Metropolitan Learning Center (MLC) Magnet School for Global and International Studies is one of the most innovative educational facilities in Connecticut. The design, based on a “house” concept, provides self-sustaining centers, each consisting of independent study/collaboration rooms, faculty work areas, and classrooms furnished with wireless data connections, Smart Boards, LCD projectors and surround sound systems. MLC is listed as one of Microsoft’s 16 educational sites nationwide, and serves as a model for the complete integration of technology into the learning environment.
