Mill Woods Park

A complete park master plan was conducted to determine the best use of land resources to meet the recreational needs of the Town of Wethersfield.  Proposed improvements include the expansion and upgrade of the walking and biking trails, improvement of the existing athletic fields to meet current standards, construction of three new fields to include a lighted soccer/football field, Little League field, and correction of the beach washout issues in the swimming area.  Additional new facilities, based on community input, include a skateboard park, picnic pavilion and picnic areas, children’s play areas, volleyball courts, roller hockey court, and putting greens.  The project is scheduled to be constructed in two phases.
